I second the Vicky vote

When I torque my 5.5 I loosen a 1/4 turn one at a time and torque to the correct amount following the sequence. If it was me I would drain a gallon out and pour it back when finished.

I was lucky with my Vicky it had the Mitchell syncro transmission installed when I got it. I added the Mitchell OD and they are great together.

Steve mentioned to me on oil change in his overdrive and syncro transmission to use 25% STP. I have not changed oil yet but will try it when the time comes.

Thanks Tom. I really did not want to mess with the spring. I was leaving it installed with a spreader when I do the od. I will see how it clears and if needed modify the floor. Great thought. Thanks
