    Which manafold heater?

I need to get an exhaust manifold heater. I have an autolite waffle style on my other car, and i'm not really impressed, even with an added sheet metal 'scoop' mounted on the front. This new A has never had a heater before, so there is no problem with inlet alignment. No, it's not for the...

    Air conditioning

I've lost the phone number of the guy in Houston that sells A/C kits for Model A's. I thought there was a recent thread about him, but search was unable to find it. Any help with his phone number and name would be appreciated.

    REBUILT Engine BREAKIN

My (well known) rebuilder said to just drive it like you're going to drive it, don't baby it. In order to not get run over by traffic, most of my starts in my heavy Town Sedan are at or near full throttle, with shifts at 3,500 - 4,000 RPM. I do kind of take it easy for the first 100 miles. My...

    Model A Heated Garage Question

I keep my garage at 70. I discovered years ago that the air In my garage striated - warm at the ceiling, cold at the floor. I solved that by putting in a ceiling fan that ran quite slowly. It made it quite comfortable to work under the car now as it brought the floor temp up to the air temp...

    distributor problems

Try checking to see if the distributor cam is tight on the shaft. Just try turning the rotor by hand. There should be a little mechanical play, but no more. If you can spin it around, that's your problem.

    GAV Question

Also, sometimes there is a quarter turn of play between the rod and the GAV needle, so you may not be moving the needle adjustment at all. A quick examination under the hood will verify what's happening. Perhaps a LITTLE more effort is needed to actually turn the needle....

    Lug nuts

Thanks, guys. With 2 cars with dual side mounts, rotating the tires, servicing the brakes on these drivers has become too much for my COPD. I'm going to order a 55 ft lb torque stick for my impact driver, which should help immensely.

    Lug nuts

Is there a suggested torque value for them? I thought I read 60-65 ft.lb. TIA. Walt
