I've destroyed the carb body trying to get the non-existent cover out of there. When I removed the wire clip it was not covering the ball. Live and learn. Now I'm looking for another carb body. I have a lead on one and I'll check it out tomorrow. Thanks to Fourdy, Dee and Ken ct for your...

Thanks, Fourdy, for posting my problem. Dee is assuming we already have the cover off the ball check. The cover at the bottom of the accelerator pump shaft is just not going to come out. On Friday, I'll go to Mac's Wrecking Yard and see if he has another carb body.
