    USB Charging Port Question

Watched Paul Shinn and now I feel silly for installing the logolights product, although it does work fine for me and I like the clean A-Plate look. Now I'm thinking of running a extension cable from the battery (with a fuse installed) under the car and up to the back seat for my better half to...

    Great MARC meet

Really enjoyed spending time at the repair tent and watching Larry at work. He really put in the time at the meet what with the seminars, the "starting car" and repair tent. He deserves a lot of kudos for the effort he put in. At the next meet, do not hesitate to hang around the repair tent a...

AA with banjo style rear axle

I've heard of these 1929's with the bevel gear rear end but never seen one. I wonder what the ratio is. My 1928 AA has the "high speed" worm drive which is reportedly 5.14:1 and runs good up to about 45 MPH. But it sure would be nice to have a 4.5 or so to boost my unloaded speed.

The cast hole for the transmission input and perhaps...

    Tools/supplies needed while traveling

Clem, I like your list a lot but I can't fathom the purpose of a short phillips screwdriver for timing. Is that for some newfangled ignition system? And is the Gallon of H2O (on running board) to ensure the "Instant Beer" gets reconstituted properly? A speedometer gear isn't a bad idea but...

Storing restored model A without a garage or carport

I have used the peaked roof portable garages in the past but they don't do well with snow loads. I have a semi-restored AA behind my garage under a 10x20 round-top tent. It is a ShelterLogic product www.shelterlogic.com and I recommend it for a temporary to 5 year use. Agree you do need to...
