I got the pump out of the car. The bushing turns with the packing nut. In a pinch as my daughter gets married first of September using the car, so I think I will just order a new pump and rebuild this one later. Thanks.

I am trying to remove the packing nut from the water pump. I have a pump wrench and have been turning it CCW for some time now and I cannot see that it is coming off. Are the threads internal? Could it be loose but stuck on the shaft? The shaft does not turn with the nut. And ideas...

Bill Williamson, where can I buy one of these Petcock valves? I agree most fuel valves you get from the vendors leak thru after a few days.

I bought a rebuild kit and went to rebuild one of my old tank valves. I found something I was not expecting. A spring loaded o-ring. Never seen one like this, It has no packing. Anybody seen one like this before?

Seems like I have to replace my gas tank valve about every two years. My current one is two years plus and has started weeping again. I bought this one from Snyders. Who is making a good under tank valve and is there any new improved ones out there?

Does the amp meter move at all when you turn the key switch on? The key switch may be bad, The car will turn over even if the key switch circuit is not closed. But the car will not start because the key circuit is not closed. If the amp meter does not move a little when the key is turned, then...
