    1930 Town Sedan Seat Removal

I think I figured out how to remove the front seat frame. I see the bolts on either side but the back one isn't accessible. I adjusted the seat frame until it hit stops on either side. I would think if I remove the stops, that the seat frame would adjust all the way off. Would that be...

    UPS package truck

Thanks for the comments. This has been a bit challenging at times. I have no blueprints or plans to go by. I am just scaling based on some good pictures I have. Does anyone know where the one on display in the private collection is?

    UPS package truck

Where is this UPS truck located? I am building one based on the pictures in the Restorer magazine. Mine will be logo-ed as a Victor Talking Machine delivery vehicle complete with an original Nipper radiator ornament. This is the apex of my hobbies of Model A Fords and collecting old Victrolas.

    Model A C-Cab project

I have both of the upper sides done. The lowers will be a bit more challenging. The body curves inward towards the lower part of the body and narrower towards the front. Not sure what to do for a compound curve in 1/4" plywood. I was thinking of using 1/8" plywood strips about 1" wide...

    Model A C-Cab project

A little more progress today. I decided to use a metal sun visor instead of extending the roof line out. It is turning out pretty good. There are no plans to go by so I'm winging it the whole way. So far so good.

    Model A C-Cab project

I thought about marine grade plywood but wonder if it is flexible enough to bend to the curvature of the body.

    Model A C-Cab project

After a very long period of time where this project got back burnered, I am back on it. I have the body pretty much made. I am getting ready to skin out the body. I am hoping to use 1/4" plywood. My question would be whether the plywood would be able to with stand the heat of the sun without...

Best chassis paint for rusty frame

I am not sure most would agree, but I sent all of my black chassis parts to a powder coating company. This included the frame, axle housings, front end parts, backing plates, steering gear box, rims, etc... I protected the parts that I didn't want to get shot blasted or powder coated. They...

Teaching my 15YO to drive my A

I started teaching my daughter to drive our 1930 Coupe when she was about 12 years old, on private property. She drove the Coupe a few times when she got her license at 16 and also on a few trips with our Model A Club. I was so proud when she asked if she could drive the Coupe on her last day...

    Water pump/ carb

Bill, Glad to help. I will have to check with some of our club members for a radiator shop that works on Model A radiators. The one all of us used for years doesn't do them anymore. Ken Brekke

Any way to check condition of wood in fordor

One thing I did to check the integrity of the body wood on my 30 Town Sedan was to slowly turn into a driveway where there was an incline. I looked at the inside door tops to see if they didn't shift up or down. There is a lot of body twist turning into an inclined driveway. I didn't notice...
