Help needed - Orientation of clutch shaft

I was taking a guess that the geometry would be the same as 1946-48, and -I think- through 1953 (?). You might assemble all, and turn the operating shaft as it would go to release the clutch. See if all seems to use the same geometry. I would think it would. I have three of these pictured parts...

    Auto Parts

Check to see if all Y bocks have same external block casting features. I think it's quite likely. If so, hunt up a 292, or better a 312. You will be $ ahead. Karl

Help needed - Orientation of clutch shaft

Looks like the same angle would work as the 1946-48, with 59AB and stock transmission. Here's pics of that. Karl

    8RT Hop up

The difficulty of removing the top part may make it attractive to just replace the lower 1/2 part. I know this sounds kinda funky, oh well... Karl

where to get a fuel pump 1952 8BA

Watch that you don't have an air leak in the fuel line. - the flexible line is the first place to look, rusted steel line also, or the pick up in the tank. Also, there could be an issue with push rod length. If I knew where you were, I might offer to loan a used one... Karl

    K-D 378 valve compressor tool

Will not work. The body of the tool would have to fit into the recess below the intake manifold mount surface of a V8. Might work well on flat head 6. Karl

Wiring 47 Ford Car Heater Motor

There are relays that conduct 40 amp loads. I use old Bosch ones, a one inch cube. They take a minimal amount of power to operate and hold up well. Your switch could operate more than one. Karl

    Rad hose blows off

I had this happen. I used a hose that was thicker than I'ld ever seen. Got another hose, thinner wall, end of problem. Karl
