Is the 32 Cabriolet windshield angle the same as a closed car? I've seen wiper motors noted for closed cars or open. Seems like the Cabriolet would be considered a closed car for this application. Thanks as always.
My thanks to all responders. Light tapping from the opposite side popped it loose and away we go. Simple enough, but invaluable to the old newbie.
Thanks again
I'm changing plug wires in my 32 V-8. The right side went fairly easy. But the left (driver side) not so. I can't seem to remove the distributor cap at all. After I release the wire bale, the cap is loose but can only pull it outward an 1/8" or so. It feels like something is hanging up inside...
Andy - Thanks for the comeback. I'm guessing parts are correct. The steering box to frame bolts are 3/8-24 x 1" with castle nuts & cotter pins on the outer side of the frame. The 1 7/16 nut uses a big lock washer holding the Pitman Arm.
I'm thinking that my puller claws are too thick to slide...
Hi Guys - While trying to center my front wheels/steering wheel, I notice that the Pitman Arm bumps up against the bolt/nut used to attach the steering box to the frame. It contacts at both full right and left turns. Is this normal? I wonder if this is designed as intended stop to limit cross...
When I took my 32 horn bracket off, I believe a 3/8" nut fell of the bolt and down into never-never land. It looks like you need to remove the radiator splash shield to open up access to that area of the frame rail? My question is: Do the splash shield attach screws use a captured nut? How about...
Hi Guys - I'm in need of one or two 32 front brake drums. Appreciate any leads. Thanks (reaton@Pinehurst.net)
Found two drums locally. Thanks to all who responded!
Anyone setting up at Charlotte? Would appreciate any spot locations that I could concentrate on. Charlotte is so big that the knees don't work very well after so many dead end searches. Thanks guys!
I have no long distance carrier on my land line and rely on a prepaid cell phone when 800 numbers are not available. But cell phone service in my area is marginal at best, sometimes forcing me to leave the house to make a call. I do most of my shopping on line but once in a while need to talk to...
David - Thanks much for the response. I wonder if what I have might not be a 32 seat due to the absence of the wood bottom frame. The current seat bottom does not slide all the way back under the seat back and without the wood frame, there is no way to secure the bottom over the two dowels on...
Hi David - I'm in the early stages of trying define just what I have in my 32 Cabriolet, currently focusing on the seat. The seat bottom does not have the wood base shown in the picture on page 15-2. I count 9 pleats (the book says 8). It seems like the basic seat bottom is a little oversized to...
Hi - It appears that my throttle rod attaches to a bell crank on the inside of my Cabriolet firewall. From there, a shorter rod goes from that bell crank down to the gas pedal. I haven't seen any discussion or pictures on this configuration or any reference to the shorter rod in the supplier's...
Might anyone remember the size of the floorboard screws on the 1932? It looks like maybe 12-xx? I don't want to mess things up when I chase the threads. Thanks much.

Has anyone run into problems with how the rear hood bracket fits to the cowl/firewall area? My repop bracket fits good on the cowl side but the two other holes on the front firewall side don't line up very well. Don't know if the problem is with the reproduced part, or if there is a poor...
