just curious, remove engine or differential to do transmission yet?

When your old like me, the only hard part in diff. removal is when the creeper wheels tangle in the trouble light cord on the floor or when you have to get up off the creeper to get a tool you forgot.

    Battery Trickle Charger

Over the years I have had very poor luck with 6 volt trickle chargers used for battery winter storage. They would last for only one season or less or voltage output was erratic. About three years ago I purchased a Black & Decker, Model BM3B 6/12 volt "Battery Maintainer" from Baccus Global...

    Model T verses Model A - why own a Model T ? ? ?

The Model T is a great fun car for short distances (parades) etc; but are slow to be safe and they don't stop quickly. I really do enjoy my 30 Delux Model A Roadster which has no such limitations as the T, but I do miss the nice little 23 Model T Runabout that I sold a few years ago. I wish I...

Apparently "Little Dearborn" old Ford auto parts in Minneapolis is going out of business as there is currently a large online auction being conducted on all of the Model A, T, and much other old Ford parts. Parts appear to be mostly NOS. The online auction is open until October 11. Go to...

    Pictures

Above my computer picture posting skills. I understand recent iPads can reduce a picture size for sending. Ford Barn must allow only a small size as I have no problem sending iPad images to others. I just won't bother.

    Pictures

Numerous times I have tried posting pictures unsuccessfully from my iPad. I am told that the Ford Barn will not accept iPad pictures as they are too large. Is that so?

    Checking fuel level in tank

Totally agree with Hale. The Model A has a very simple fuel gauge, easy to remove, repair, replace float, assure it operates smoothly and correct if necessary and easily to reinstall. Henry's design is simple and accurate. I wouldn't jam a stick into the tank possibly damaging the fuel gauge.

    Ethanol laced fuel and Climate

Living in a northern Wisconsin climate, I won't use ethanol blended fuel. Fortunately many of our fuel pumps offer "ethanol free" premium gas. A bit more expensive and better performance and no carb moisture issues from sitting, plus better fuel mileage.

    Coker Tire Report

I also have a 30 Deluxe Roadster. I invested about $1,200 in four 35 Ford powder coated rims, four new Firestone 6:50 x 16 www tires from Universal with new tubes and flaps. I went with 6:50's as they are the same O.D. as the original 19's. I only carry 25 psi in them. A beautiful ride and...

Got an old brain? I need to pick it!!!!

In the late 40's when I worked in a gas station, gas pumps did not have automatic nozzle shut off when the gas tank was full. You had to lean down and listen for the whistle noise to stop. Most customers told you how many gallons they wanted or the dollar amount they wanted put in. We gave S&H...
