It would be fun to see the difference on paper. By the way, love your videos!

I have no idea how many degrees, as I have no means of testing it. But it feels that the engine runs better advancing furthest at higher speeds. I advance 1/3 at city speeds and 2/3 at 70-80 kph

Pros and cons of installing needle bearings in the 7-tooth steeringbox?

Good thinking, Synchro909. I will take that under advisement.

Pros and cons of installing needle bearings in the 7-tooth steeringbox?

Hi everyone. I have questions regarding installing needle bearings in the 7-tooth box. The boring of the sector housing excluded, what are the pros and cons of the needle bearings? - Is it more difficult to adjust? - Is easier to steer at a stand still? - What do I gain if I install them?

It is deliberately designed to suck more water from the back of the engine. In my opinion it works.

Hi everyone. I forund that the clearance for the "bump" was enough. BUT I had to take some of the cast iron off the head to accommodate the lift of the IB330 cam and the large, 1.73# intake valve. I measured every valve clearance in the head by applying play-puddy in the head sand lower it onto...

Thank you, nkaminar. It is on and running. I had to take something off the head to accommodate my 1.73" intake valves and IB330 cam. The dents where kept.

Yes. It runs fantastic. I had to make adjustments for my enlarged intake valves, though. I dremmeled off a portion of the chamber over the valve.

No slack possible in 7 tooth steering?

Thank you. That is good news! I will give the needle bearings some more thought.

Proper radius ball install (no rubber ball)

I found a reason for my loose 1929 radius ball: The bolt holes in the bell housing had been grinded down in the casting by nearly a century of use - so far down that they could not even reach the pin that is supposed to secure them. Solution: I put a couple of shims on the bolts to elevate them...

No slack possible in 7 tooth steering?

Hi all. I have a 7 tooth steering colum in my 1929 daily driver. It has about 3" slack. If I refurb it with new internals, bore it out to accept the a-3574 needle bearings and a sector seal kit, can I expect no slack? Does anyone have experience with this?

    1.73" intakes with a Burtz 6.5 head

I have had to modify my new Burtz 6.5 head, on a freshly decked block with new 1,73" valves, IB 330 cam. The engine runs fantastic. I placed modeling clay in the head, and - over several cycles - lowered the head, without the head gasket - with valves and studs in place, onto the engine. It left...

Hi CT Jack. I am referring to the cast iron finish inside the cylindertop as you can see on this picture … On each surface there is a round protrution …
