I ended up just making my own pattern, worked ok.

    Unfixable random cutting out

From a post of mine a few years ago: Check the copper strap that runs on the outside of the flat spring on the points (it is kind of U shaped). I had this same problem, the strap is too long on some points and will touch the case of the dist. causing all kinds of problems. My '29 Tudor had this...

    Sound deadening and Insulation Materials

I used the foil faced (2 sides) with plastic bubble stuff that is sold by Menards with the 3M #90 adhesive they sell, worked good to quiet the car up and provides insulation. Made a big difference summer and winter for me.

From their web site, for 6 volt systems use part number 40111 1.5 ohm epoxy.

    Zenith carburetor paint

Glad I have a couple of cans left. This stuff may work, it is supposed to be fuel proof for models. http://www.klasskote.com/re-model-crafting-epoxy-paint

    Convert Original Generator to 12V

A good old type automotive electric shop can change the winding's to properly charge a 12 volt battery. Yes you can just put a 12 volt cut out on, however it will not charge the battery very fast, it will work, just be slow. You can also purchase an alternator that fits inside the case of an...

    Help needed with cb install.

As others stated this is a voltage up converter that uses a common ground, it is designed to convert 6 volt positive ground systems to 12 volt negative ground. Using a common ground, these use a switching circuit to create the 12 volt side. Assuming the converter can produce the amount of...

    Help needed with cb install.

The RED INPUT wire goes to the negative terminal on your battery, or to for example the wire that feeds your dome light. The black wire goes to the chassis of your car. On the CB side, the red wire (should be marked POSITIVE or +) goes to the red output wire on the converter, the black wire...

    Broken Carburetor Jet

I know this sounds like it will break the casting, however it does not... Heat the casting around the jet to a DULL red with an oxy acetylene torch, preferably using a rose bud tip. Then using a welding gloved hand and a large pliers, dunk the carb into cool water. There will be a lot of...

    Engine Serial Numbers as VIN

Maybe try reading the Federal law about this, and read all of it, there are exceptions that allow the re-marking. 18 U.S. Code § 511

Zenith Carb leaking, what type of needle value to get

Also clean out the filter screen in the carb, they can have a lot of crap stuck in them.

    Motor turns VERY slow

A #2 copper wire attached to the bottom starter bolt (clean the paint off from the starter under the bolt so you get good contact) to the same location that the battery cable connects to the frame is a good idea. The engine pans were part of the original design to provide the ground path.

    turn signals

Better to hook to the frame ground point, where the ground strap from the battery connects. You never want a path through other electronics to the battery that is better than the path that the starter uses. If you do, the starter will try to "pull ground" through those other devices and there...
