    6.00X16 radial conversion

1oldtimer - where did you buy those? Are they the federal brand tires that diamondback tire added whitewalls to? Unfortunately, I don't think diamondback carries those anymore.

    6.00X16 radial conversion

I looked into getting the Federal EC01 tires too, but I think they will be hard to find in the US. They would be perfect size. 175/75-R16 Front and 215/75-R16 Rear. Anybody know where to buy these?

What diameter tire for '36 with droped axle?

Interesting Topsterguy. It sounds like there is fender clearance for a larger diameter...but then you run into frame interference when the wheel is turned. That doesn't sound good since I was hoping to put similar 26" tall tires on my 37 pickup. Anybody else have experience with larger...

What diameter tire for '36 with droped axle?

What would be the max diameter that would fit under the front fenders? It seems like most of you are staying in the 25" to 25.5" range, but can you go taller if you stay narrow? The reason I'm curious - the truck in the link below has 525-16 tires which is around 26.5" tall. Is this too tall...

    1947 Ford 1/2 ton pickup

Based on the amount of work you have done to freshen the old gal up, I would say 10K is quite a deal for that ol pickup!

    Radial tires

Diamondback radials are the only way to go for wide whitewalls. I wouldn't mess with Coker tires anymore. Talkwrench has a good point with rim width. Is there a good rule of thumb for radial tire width for given rim sizes?

How is the quality on the speedway gears? Made in China or good quality machining?

    1934 Front Wheel Alignment ?

Just food for thought here…I’m an engineer and tend to over-analyze everything. Tire size will have a SLIGHT effect on your toe out measurement. All in all, if you have excessively large or small tires you may want to look further into your toe out measurement. There wouldn't be much concern...

    Radial Tires

To answer your specific question on the 600-16 to radial conversion...the closest you will get is with a 195/80R16 tire. Bridgestone makes these - Diamondback has these in wide whites too. Terrible news about the Auburn tires! I need the 7.5x16 and 5.2x16....so it looks like I will have to...

New to me Very good condition 1936 ford pickup

The good think about original un-modified old fords, is the fact that you can buy replacement parts from places like Macs and Bob Drake, Dick Spadaro and others. It's not cheap, but the parts would be drop in replacements (Bed wood, cab support wood, floorboards etc...) I jump on the...

    Radial Tires

I am beginning to loose faith in the Diamondback Auburn (bias ply look a-like) tires...they told me a few months back that they would be out in December. Now February. I think they have been delaying the release date for a while now. I am really trying to avoid buying the junk Coker tires.

Tire Clearance | Dropped 37 Ford Pickup

Before I tore my truck down, I had 205/70R15's at stock ride height. I am putting a drop axle under it and can't mach anything up since the truck is down to the bare frame. Given this, I am searching for tire sizes that others have used without clearance issues etc.. I did find out that...
