You might want to try this. See if Rootlieb still has the brass saddle-shaped speedster fuel tank filler with cap. If not, you can get a '29 Model A radiator neck and cap from Mikes or other A suppliers to install in what will become the top of the oval "T" tank. You can modify the cap into any...

Honestly, this thread contains answers for me that I wasn't expecting. Like many of us, I like old cars because they take me back to the years of my innocence and what I think was a more honest and less complicated and deceptive era. Though I was an electronics technician in the Air Force, I am...

Yesterday I advertized on fordbarn model a parts wanted for a harmonic balancer and got a response to contact procarparts3@gmail.com. When I entered that address, I was directed to this thread. I can send you the address of the person that sent me that email if that will help your investigation...

Wanted: Murray Horn harmonic balancer or other excellent balancer for A/B. Call 816 690 8464.

Mike Hoskins makes a well-engineered set of disc brakes for Model A's, called Hoss Brakes. He has a set on his '31 coupe and has gone into production. He has his rotors cast and I can't tell you for sure how the rest is done, but they're ingenious. His phone number is 816 352 7097. Tell him Jim...

I have a similar problem that I am asking anyone to give an answer to. In Septemeber at a healthy 71, 'lost my right leg near the hip. I can still drive my CCPU without the prosthetic leg (no way to get in & out of the cab with it on & no place to set it if I could wear it) by dancing from...

Life-long collection. Some goodies, some mediocre stuff. Lots of it, too much to list. I would prefer to sell all at once and even sell our home and large 2-story shop on 11 acres as I am in late stage 4 cancer. Restored '53 Jubilee with finish mower and blade could go with property. This has...

Re: My friend Ken’s Model A -V8 MAFCA came into being when Model A's were under 25 years old, perhaps (but not really) like a 1995 Ford today. My mother-in-law, at age 85, still dislikes my restored '30 CCPU because it reminds her of the old cars that were out of style and embarrassing when she...

Yes. I made them. See my web site, www.olympicspeedsters.com.

Maybe this has already been mentioned on this thread, but I wonder how many more Model A's there are now than when this thread began. I am building a phaeton from useless Model A scraps. I have also built ten running chassis from parts and then built the bodies for them, plus another 20...

The circular lip surrounding the oil pump access plate is raised high enough that, in my observation, the early pan will not allow as complete oil and contaminate draining as the later pans.

I don't recall them myself, but my dad told me that before the war he and Mom had gone for a walk to do some window shopping in downtown KC and Montgomery Wards had a rebuilt Model A engine on display with the MW rebuild tag on it. $35.00 at that time, probably 1939 or 1940.

Excellent, well-informed article. Thanks for starting this excellent thread. But to tell all about restoration the article would have to be so long it would take ten years to read; the same amount of time it takes to start to become a proficient restorer IF that restorer is dedicated to reading...

I am the original designer and manufacturer of the tool box that replaces the radiator apron and follows the contour of the frame horns. I believe it is still shown on my website, olympicspeedsters.com . I gave MikesAfordable the exclusive rights to sell them. The image posted by Y-BLOCKHEAD...
