    Potential scam

I would also encourage to speak to the seller on the phone as well. I have never had an issue after speaking to someone on the telephone. They usually have a common story to tell. I can imagine speaking with a scammer on the phone would throw some red flags just by the conversation.

Hi Steve! Hope all is well. Thanks for the answer, I should probably just call you with my questions so that I can say hello as well! :)

    Front Spindles

I have a early 28. I know that the original spindles are round. My question is will the later spindles work in place of the early ones? It seems like the backing plate for the drum brakes wont set flush against the later style spindle. Any insight and other issues I may encounter is greatly...

    Engine paint

Are there any opinions on which paint is more correct. I really like the Engine Enamel, the can with green lettering. I've decided to use this as I think it looks more "rich". Just wondering on the general consensus of what everyone else thinks about the two colors of green. Thanks in advance!

Value of an Un-Restored Model A Engine

Swingle, I would post them! Post them here, post them on Facebook and post them on Craigslist. I am fairly new into the hobby (2 years) and have paid a premium for not so premium parts. I have not been in the hobby long enough to have a pile parts so I get whats offered. Seems to me $100 a...

    Father's Day Poll

My Dad got his Model A on his 40th birthday and drove it for a couple years before putting it into storage. My 40th rolled around last August and that is what he gave me! This one is going to be in the collection until the next kiddo in the family shows an interest in the hobby.

    Tillotson carburetor question

While refreshing a Tillotson Carb and putting it back together I found that the upper pot metal piece is not flat. So when I am putting the 3 screws back together there is a gap large enough to where the gasket will not seal. Any suggestions on how to correct this? If it was the lower piece...

    Alternator

I noticed that some belts are just smaller than others. When I got my "A" it came with lots of extra parts including 3 belts. Now I am not positive that they were specifically for a Model A but all the other parts that came with my car were for a Model A so I have to assume so. They seemed...

    Thoughts on new camshaft?

I am new as well but can someone explain a "reground camshaft"? I am assuming to get proper lift that there has to be some welding or adding of material, then it gets ground down to desired specifications...

Water or 50/50 Mix for Summer

With a 50/50 mix your boiling point is raised. So, if you were not boiling over with straight water you wont be boiling with a mixture.

    Crankshaft pulley

Is there a difference between the solid crankshaft pulleys and the ones that have the 3 holes in them? Did certain years come with certain pulleys?

    "ar" transmission parts

Alright. I took everyone's advise and straightened it the best I could! Going to use what I have for now since I have another motor being rebuilt and will get to that next winter. So everything can be changed then if this transmission shutters too much. Also I thought I should attach this...

    "ar" transmission parts

I may have a buddy try straightening it. Kinda looks like the metal stretched when it bent. Also thanks for the insight on the chatter. A fellow member messaged me and is going to send pictures of another flywheel!
