tell a Model A related story

My story starts on April 14th 1928 the day my Great Grandfather picked up his new tudor sedan. He bought it in our hometown of Madison Indiana at the Madison Car and Tractor Co. for $573.39. He used this car on the farm taking produce to town to sell and hauling feed back home for their...

    Removing Timing Gear Cover

I have all the bolts out except the hidden bolt. I have not been able to raise the front of the engine enough to access it yet. I have the rear motor mount bolts loose and thought that would be enough but it won't budge.

    Removing Timing Gear Cover

I am having a timing issue and I am trying to remove the cover to check the gear alignment. It is an early 28 tudor with solid front motor mounts. I have all the bolts removed and was wondering if the cover will come straight up enough to clear the mount brackets or does it need to come forward...

    Windshield Wiper Wire Routing

I could run it up the drivers side but I think it was originally ran on the passenger side. I might have to solder in a splice.

    Windshield Wiper Wire Routing

I am wiring the wiper on a early 28 tudor. We bought the wire from Snyders and I am coming up about 6" short. I came out of the terminal box and came in thru the firewall, then it runs right along the firewall to the passengers side, then it runs thru a grommet on the back (cowl to gas tank...

    Running Board Trim

I am putting new running boards from Snyders on a 28 tudor. Looks like the trim hooks over the top and then I have to roll the bottom under to hold them in place. How much do I roll under? Just the ends or the full length? Jeff

    Rock Moss Green 28 Tudor???

I want to thank everyone for the input on the matter. I really did not aim for it to go this far. I am very impressed with knowledge of the model A found on this forum. At this time we are not building a fine points car. At the most we will take it to a few local car shows and Sunday afternoon...

    Rock Moss Green 28 Tudor???

Not sure if you can tell by this picture. But this shows where the tag was removed from the gas tank. The tank had the original paint on it and the tag had never been removed. Jeff
