    Exhaust manifold rejuvenation

Heater manifolds are much less likely to "droop" than stock, non-heater manifolds. All the heater manifolds I have are straight as an arrow across all the exhaust ports.

    Motor Munster greenfield village

There was a lot of talk at the GFV Civil War Weekend that there are new people in charge, and that this year's event may have been the last.

    I couldn't resist it.....

    I have a question

This is a common complaint of new owners of WW2 and early civilian Jeeps, also. The seats are not adjustable, and the steering wheel is close to the seat. Guys end up selling a vehicle they really wanted before they found out it was just too uncomfortable for them.

    I have a question

If you had collected WW1 and WW2 uniforms and militaria like I did for many years, you would have soon noticed how small men were then-the vast majority of uniforms that were actually worn seem to be size 36 and 38-anything larger than a size 42 is rare. Size 42 was also the largest US...

Were Original Tires Easier to Remove?

This is the most important thing! I've changed a whole bunch of tires, on everything from motorcycles to farm tractors, and I feel that Model A tires were among the easiest ones I've done.

    Crescent wrench

You use another wrench to turn the one that's in the diff plug.

    Using origonal nuts and bolts

I was at a swap meet a few years back, where a guy was selling bags of random Model A nuts and bolts for a few bucks-very, very useful to have. Using new lock washers is good, but does anyone make the coined-edge washers like the originals? a small detail, but very noticeable.

How do you move a T with a stuck engine and stuck transmission bands and or brakes

You really NEED the original-type wheel puller when removing the rear wheels. It screws onto the fine threads of the outer surface of the hub, and the center bolt pushes against the axle. With anything else, you run the risk of ruining your wheels. Remember, these wheels are mostly almost 100...

    "T"s found.

So-are you going to get that T out from under the collapsed barn?

    Rusty fuel tank.

I'll be sending my tank to Brent for that treatment sooner or later, when I get around to pulling it out of my truck. It's a late '31 tank, and that horizontal outlet fills up right away with sediment and rust. I'm going to spend the money and have it done right, once and for all.

    Help Water Pump.

I also vote for this-Takes all the end play out of the pump, and is hidden by the fan. Give this a try before you do anything else.

    Model A Huckster Group

That's how my mother remembered a huckster that was in our small town back in the '30s and '40s-the body was green, like this one.

Throwing Out Good Model A Parts

I've got a pole barn with shelves groaning under the weight of Model A, T, Jeep, and motorcycle parts. I know what will happen to that stuff when I'm gone-my son will have an auction, and a bunch of old guys just like me will move selected bits to their garages and barns, to be sold at another...
