I'm told now that the later sedans had the hinges riveted on to the door side of the hinge. I think that I will just give up on the idea of replacing the hinges. This whole project started because I was unable with two different hinge pin removers to get the pins to budge to install hinge mount...

All 8 of the door hinges on my 31' s/w town sedan have slotted heads on the screws showing on the body side of the hinge and fasteners showing flush with the hinge on the door side. Did they come from the factory this way? This makes it necessary to remove the door trim to replace a hinge.

I took the out side door handle with the lock in it to a local locksmith and he said that the insides were corroded enough that he could not get it to turn or be able to put a key in enough to turn it.
