    Cold start help

Whether (pun intended) its 100 degrees or minus 10, I prefer to hit the starter first to flood the dry engine after sitting before attempting to start. I remembered this from Murray Fahnestock 'Know Your Model A', p. 41 'Cold Weather Starting. These instructions are for starting at low...

Henry Ford and the Cross-Country Contest that changed America

Excellent, captivating read. American road rally before there were roads. Early version of NASCAR with the racer's creative bending of the rules. Only matters who is first.

    Leaking gas tank

I've successfully used JB Weld 'Tank Weld'. Understand the root cause of your leaking gas tank. After 90 years of yanking on the steering wheel to hoist yourself into the front seat, the tank bracket has become loose from it's rivets & it's solder joint has cracked. All these 'silly putties'...

    Paint options for driver

Marshall, Buck the trend and use a colored primer or sealer which closely matches the top coat color. Usually the price different is in the lack of coverage. jb

No Reserve Auction 1930 Cabriolet on BringATrailer

If it is a Tudor or a Town Car, the chassis mechanicals are still the same. The two most difficult Model A bodies to restore are the Cabriolet & A400 because of their sophisticated top assemblies. Plus like vintage Mustang convertibles, how do the doors close ? 'Look before leaping'.

    Barcalo Buffalo

It has both oil drain plugs....larger for '28, also used for front brake drum nut. Small oil drain plug, '30-31 also serves the rear brake drum nut.

    Barcalo Buffalo

An Amazing tool IF you purchased the Model A version (3X Spark Plug) vs the early V8 with a different spark plug adaptor. Try to find the Patent Number out on the net for all it's uses. Yes, sometimes a 3/8 ths drive breaker bar does work better for rear axle plugs.
