    This popped up on YouTube

Don't waste your time reading that garbage. That young guy only thinks that he knows what he is talking about. My Ford with a Y block runs perfectly with no oil issues.

The way of the future, lets hope not!!!

Guys Please excuse me for not being up to date on this modern stuff. Are you saying that all of those exposions are electric cars / vehicles that are blowing up like that? Is this what we have to look forward to? If so I'm going to be driving my normal gasolene powered vehicles as...

Finally have my 57 Ford Custom finished.

Lamar The Mass. State Police used the same cars in 1957. I remember in early 1958 going with my brother and he bought a beautiful 1957 former MSP 2dr custom. That car was just like new and it was fast. It looked a lot like Jeff's custom. Wish I had it today. Jay

56 T- Bird Removing the Transmission?

I removed both the engine and transmission as one unit from my 56 Tbird several times with no problems about 20 years ago. Removing just the transmision with the engine still in place will be more work.

Finally have my 57 Ford Custom finished.

WOW Jeff! Your black custom business coupe looks absolutely beautiful, and I like the mean looking stance that it has. You have obviously invested a lot of time and money in that dream car and now it is paying you back with satisfaction. Enjoy your beautiful car that you built with your...

    Flathead pencil test

Bored and stroked I don't know anything about the engine. I bought it many many years ago as a rebuilt and took a chance with it. I never opened it, took it home and installed it, and was not disappointed. It runs beautifully and does not burn oil and does not leak. That does not...

    Flathead pencil test

Thank all of you guys for such a quick response to my question, but I was not not wondering about the deck height. I was asking about the forward part of the engine where the timing gear cover is located and there is something of significance about that top edge if it will or will not hold a...

    Flathead pencil test

I have a 24 stud flathead up to 48. It is not a 49 to 53 engine. Mine passes the so called pencil test and will hold a pencil in the area above the timing gear cover. So please tell me what means. I'm starting to be a little forgetful. Thank you very much. Jay

    Another 1954 Ford Question

Thank all of you for the help. Now we have a bunch of places to search for the numbers. The good thing is that the car does not have the nose on it, and there is no engine and transmission in it. I'll let you know where we find them. The search is on. Jay

    Another 1954 Ford Question

A friend of mine bought a 54 Ford Victoria from a junk yard. It came with a very rough but repairable nose . He does not have a computer and I'm not good with one. Now he needs to find the frame number. We checked but we do not know where it is. Does someone have a 54 shop manual, or know...

    1954 Ford car hood

B-ster I don't know much about the 54 Lincoln, but I do know that the 54 hood hinges are connected to what I would call air duct boxes that have to be taken off as a complete unit. I have my doubts about those boxes fitting the Lincoln. Someone with more knowledge will have the answer.

    1954 Ford car hood

Jeff Last night Ray took the 57 to the Friday night cruise . One of my friends parked his 427 powerd 1963 Ford next to the 57 Ford. During the conversation, the 54 hood subject came up. The person with the HI PO 63 Ford stated that he has a spare 54 hood and Jay can have it for free. So...

rjlester and GLAmes I thank both of you for such a quick answer to my 54 Ford hood question. I am going to pass that information on to my buddy. He will be very happy to hear that. It's too bad that we are not closer to Texas. Jay
