Spring Modifications for my 30 Speedster

Bob, thanks for the response. Would you know the weight of just the body, fenders and bumpers as this would be sprung weight. Thanks, js Thanks Mike. I am a member and will be posting over there as well. I thought that this would be the best place to ask about the weight of just the body. I...

Spring Modifications for my 30 Speedster

I am finally ready to re-spring my Speedster. I will be using a T rear, and a Posies A reverse eye and lower arc spring which is said to lower the front end by 2". I understand that the T spring should accomplish the same drop in the rear. I am also interested in making the ride as compliant...

Mechanical Tach Driven from Alternator or Generator?

As always, great responses and an abundance of knowledge! I probably should have presented my initial inquiry differently. I was hoping to run this reverse mechanical tach in my 1930 A and I am looking for a way to drive it. I was trying to keep it short and sweet and not upset any of the...

Mechanical Tach Driven from Alternator or Generator?

Hi Kevin. The alternator has a mechanical gear driven adapter on the rear of the unit. The black object in my original post is another type of drive that attaches to an alternator. Regarding slippage, If they work on a tractor I would guess the performance would similarly acceptable on an A.

Anyone use this turn signal set-up?

For a Stock Model A, I would agree that this is a great system, and I considered it. However I have only one tail light/brake light, no park, fog, or cowl lights, and no need for, or ability to use the 4 way flashers. Also I believe if you want the wiring harness that plugs into the unit, it...

Anyone use this turn signal set-up?

I would presume that it would work with both positive and negative ground?

Anyone use this turn signal set-up?

Found it on Lang's website. Apparently it was designed with Model Ts in mind. http://www.modeltford.com/item/T-SIGN-4.aspx

Anyone use this turn signal set-up?

I would be using this with separate signal lights so a four wire system will suffice. It will be used on my speedster, and I don't wish to have a switch on my column. Pros, Cons, etc. Thanks.
