1940 rear Houdaille shocks, transverse spring, brake drums and backing plates

These parts are from a 1940 Coupe that was restored as a high-level driver about 20 years ago, but 5 years ago was retrofitted with a "conventional" rear end and suspension. The two shocks were rebuilt by Louis Trinque and function as they should. The two brake drums are 12 inches inside...

    Cracked blocks

Based on the receipt, the block has a fresh bore that should finish at .080 over, with a bit of honing, right? If so, the block is almost ready for rebuild at that oversize. Since there is an option to make an offer, I wouldn’t hesitate to start at $1000 if ALL ELSE checks out.

    Sad News...AV8Paul

I had seen Paul's car at various meets in New England, but didn't meet him until last summer at the Loring Timing Association land speed races. He arrived in his AV8 with his young grandson as “navigator”, and I immediately realized that only a very big-hearted person would do such a wonderful...

    1936 Steering Box and Bearings

Fresh bearings and cups for an early worm shaft, including the upper cup B-3553. All are NOS except the lower cup (3552), which is a relatively new Timkin USA. The first picture is showing the steering box, but please note that the worm and sector are essentially junk. The second picture shows...

    36 Speedo reinstall

There is a recessed “hump” underneath the dash that is designed to allow access for the top stud and nut attachment of the speedometer. Gaining access to the speedometer attachment is pretty simple, but the trick is understanding the arrangement. Please feel free to contact me directly and I...

    Fuel pump pushrod

Don't you think the travel of the rod is entirely dependant on the lift of the cam lobe? Changing the relative difference between the top of the rod and the fuel pump lever relates to the degree of interaction between the rod and the lever.
