i just made mine usean exhaust manifold for a pattern cut it out drill it an weld a tub on it

i had a 4 hp staionary engine with a long time stuck piston i stood it on end fillred yhe cylinder with acetone and put a stick for a wick in it put a couplr propanr torches on it for about 8 hours a nd with a 2 x 4 knocked it out without too much effort had to sleeve it but its been running...

i tell people its about 5;000 installed

new cars dont use break in oil and they work just fine.use the oil your going to use and run it like you stole it

if you have to clean your plugs that often you have other problems

you can diagnose many things with a scope even weak cylinders lean mixtures.have used them for 50 years still have one.that style wont work one the new cars

piston slap is usually heard under load it would have to be real bad to do that

i change them so i can clean out oil galley.they go in kind of hard

nothing wrong with hydraulic lifters mine a quiet.you have to take them apart and clean them during overhaul.
