Hi All, I inherited a project car, 28/29 roadster and the tulip panel is about a half inch short of aligning with the roadster rear quarters. Is what I have the wrong part or is this intentional by Ford? Thanks!

Hi all, I inherited this project and the "tulip" panel/ panel between trunkor rumble seat and cab is not tall enough to line up with rear quarters. Do I have the wrong year of part? Any help is appreciated.
