Model A water pump pulley alignment

I put on a different generator. The pulley on the generator is farther away from the body. I attached a picture of the latest installation. It is better but not perfect. Thanks for all the help and tips. I’m trying to figure out how to post a picture.

Model A water pump pulley alignment

I was able to remove the fan by using a small wheel puller with three arms. I took the key out and spun the fan and found some places that needed to be filed. I am going to try a dry fit to see if the pulleys are lined up. I am hoping that the taper in the fan is a correct match for the shaft. I...

Model A water pump pulley alignment

Hi, I purchased a new water pump with a two blade fan. My old ware pump was leaking and I thought I should replace it. After installing the pump, the pulley does not line up with the generator. Is there something I might have done to make the misalignment? Thanks for your ideas.

Removing a model A spare tire mount

Hi, I am trying to remove the tire rack so I can move the splash apron to expose the VIN numbers. I have used a block of wood and a hammer. Did not move. 1965 352V8 very rough idle with back fires

Here’s the latest. I removed the two filters on the fuel line. Tried to start it, no luck. I took off the top of the carb and noticed that the float was in a downward position. The tab on the float was bent down. It wouldn’t go up or down. I guess my mechanic rebuilding the carb was a little...
