The guy I bought my truck from didn't know where to find the VIN. He had a policeman friend "verify" the VIN and put that on the title. Luckily in Vermont I don't need a title for a vehicle over 25 years old
I have the same problem with my '34 pickup. You can buy a blank VIN plate from one of the suppliers. Then you can stamp the # from the title on to the blank plate.

If you fill out their form for converting to 12 volts they will e-mail you this book. It tells how to wire a one wire alternator
I have a '34 pickup with original V-8. I want to put on a set of Red's Headers and their extensions. Just wondering if it's a bolt on operation or if anything has to be modified. Truck has the original steering box
Thanks
I would like to monitor the water temp in my '34 V8. I bought a gauge from Snyders that is for a Model A. I was hoping it would work as my water pumps are tapped for 1/2 NPT. Well the unit has a 1/2 fitting threaded into a 3/4 inch fitting. I thought I could take it apart and just thread the 1/2...
I am new to this and recently purchased a 1934 pickup with a V8. The fuel pump does not have a sediment bowl. Does anyone use a fuel filter? Do you put it before the fuel pump?
I am in the process of purchasing a 1933 pickup. I have an instruction book for 4 cylinder cars and trucks. It says to use SAE250 in the summer for transmission and rear axel. All I can find advertised is synthetic. Any thoughts on this? I would rather ask a stupid question than do something stupid
