I was watching that bolt and waiting for the snap....great save, that old clamp came to the rescue.
Loved the Prescott footage too, that new box seems to have been well worth the agro.
Mart, I had this same problem with a French motor. When the motor was being reassembled we noticed the excessive end float and came to a stop. I sold the engine to Jim T and told him about the problem before we finalised the deal. I believe it is not uncommon on these motors and Jim has a...

The motor is a 40/41 in a 32 roadster..I’m not sure of the pulley size, I’ll have to measure it. ... I am just mulling over the theory and wondered if a smaller pulley size would give enough extra revs to satisfy charging.
I have a generator that only seems to put out 12.5v at higher revs.. during heavy traffic driving it hovers around 11/12v. If a smaller pulley was used would this give me the required voltage at lower speeds ie;30 mph?
Next question, .. if it would work is there a smaller pulley available and...

The carb is one of Clive’s .
I’ve also ordered a fuel pressure regulator and gauge as the car has an electric fuel pump and I’m half convinced this may be part of the problem.
We’ve recently ,last month, had this awful E10 petrol introduced and E5 is still available but very expensive... I put...
