I just went through this and this is what i did and so far it has worked. I bought the 17 tooth gear from Brattons and a turtle from Macks. It had no markings on it but was assured it would work. Surprise it didn't. It promptly ate up the gear. I got a new gear installed it in turtle put grease...

Need to contact party who spoke about using a 17 tooth speedometer drive gear from Brattons and a gear case housing from Mack's with a 3.25 ring and pinion in my 38 Cabriolet. I did and it ate up the fiber gear.

I have a 1938 in need of a horn button and light switch rod.I found the rods you talked about but there are Five choices. Since you are working on a 1937 can i assume i can use one like yours? Also how do you get the button off the rod? Thanks for any and all information.

I use a front drum from my 38, mount the rim on it, and use a spin balancer. It will not be perfect but its close.

I am installing the torque tube on my 38 Ford. It is filthy dirty with dried up grease and who knows what. Half way down there is a grease fitting and under it is either some kind of a grease seal or bearing.What in the world is it? I cant get it clean enough to see it and so far i cant drive it...
