    L.H. rear outlet exhaust manifold

I've talked to Pat Rooney and found that he no longer has these excellent manifolds cast up. He sold his inventory and the receiver sold out some time ago. I'm going to pass on the information about Red's headers and Speedway's Fenton cast iron manifolds. One suggestion by a Barner back in...

    L.H. rear outlet exhaust manifold

I have a need for an original or reproduction of the rear outlet left manifold rumored to have been used on early 50s trooper cars for duel exhaust. At one time I bought a reproduction from one of the major parts supliers. It was a terrible casting and I returned it. At about the same time I...

    Ol' Ron

Ron and I talked fairly regularly and Molly and I would get down every few months to take him out for lunch. Late last week Ron mistakenly, (twice), dialed my number while trying to get his Sister-in-Law. (His Son and Sister-in-Law live just up the road from Ron). I called her and she told me...

    '39 Lincoln style brake conversion

My son and I are starting on our 1937 Coupe The '39 brakes were seized. So we decided to replace the shoes, wheel cylinders and springs. We bought a kit for '39 brakes. We started at the rear. The parts were made in China. (JUNK)! Instructions included a note saying to grind off material...

from Charlie Schwendler AKA Charlie NY

I haven't been on the forum in awhile and was sad to hear of Charlie's loss. My wife and I visited Charlie and Alice a few year back to pick up some parts and found Alice and Charlie to be a welcoming couple. My wife enjoyed visiting with Alice while Charlie and I spent time in his shop and...

    Valve Tool

Some descriptions describe this tool for Ford Model A and T vehicles. Is it specific or a generic valve spring tool. Does it do the job? Apparently it is an early version of a DZ tool because DEE-ZEE is spelled out on the orange release lever. I don't do pictures but, here is an Ebay ad for...

lowering rear 2" 47 deluxe coupe

19Fordy, after I posted above, I went out to the shop and found my large turnbuckles. Turned out they are 5/8-11 and pretty long, should be enough adjustment for any transverse setup. I also thought an extended 3-pt. hitch top link might work. I love these projects. Thanks, Howard

19fordy, nice job on spreader. I have a couple of large turnbuckles and wondered what size the threads are on the ones you used. Thanks, Howard

Sorry I missed your birthday post last Saturday. Happy belated birthday. I'll be in touch soon, time for another lunch visit. I have something for Rob and I need to get a better idea of just which model Holly you're looking for, ventura size, etc.. I found a guy who has a number of carbs he...

    6volt fuel pump

The Airtex has boiled to the top in most of the previous threads on this subject. The July/August V-8 Times has an article written by Randy Rundle describing a gear type pump (available 6 or 12 volt), with stainless steel gears similar to a positive displacement oil pump, that he sells through...

    Emergency Brake conversion?

Recently I saw an ad for a '37 on Ebay. Parts listed as going with car included a "hand brake" conversion. The service brakes on my car have been converted to hydraulics ('39), the emergency brake cables are a mess rubbing on the wish bones on their way to the drums. I contacted the seller...
