ON A 6 VOLT POSITIVE ground SET UP DOES THE + go to the dist or alt?

thank you all for your interest and replies, i figured i would try a 1" spacer (see pic) to install the fuel pump (pics3&4) that seems to match up perfectly to my fuel pump. i measured it needed about an inch spacer to raise it above the intake to clear it.

my 48 ford fuel pump stand is quite different than the one it calls for, my fuel pump bolts up to a 8BA-9416 stand but has a narrow opening at the bottom (see pic#1) while the one it supposebly calls for(pics3&4) isnt tall enough to clear the top of the head and cant accomendate my fuel pump...

which end of the push rod seats down into engine and the other into the fuel pump arm? my push rod is from dennis carpenter as you can see in pics with groved circular marks on one end and smooth on the other.

sry, i meant is set up as same for a a 50 ford deluxe custom 2 door sedan as attacment pic shows. my set up is same on fire wall as pic.

i have a 48 ford f2 pickup and need to install my heater core hoses to engine . it has a top outlet and a bottom (not side by side)is exact set up from a 51 ford flathead is this same as for a 48>?

cant figure out what the hell is going on with my(48 ford f2) i can"t really believe it can be the starter either, ive replaced the 6v starter solenoid, new battery,starter,and just ordered a new voltage rugulator from ebay couple days ago to see if thats any difference. it first fired up ok...

i need to polorize the voltage regulator again im sure after switching batterys, (F to B ..look for spark and all that.) my book says generator regulator 30 to 33 amps. can i go beyond the 33 amps say up to 40 or more or not incase i need to replace it? right now my amp gauge move just a hair...

this 12v i installed appers to me to have exact 3 bolts a 6v does that is what is puzzling me why its stamped 12v

no this one does not but the last one i broke did have it and their very convienant.
