I just repaired the same problem with my Model A Ford. Look how high your overflow tube is inside of the radiator neck. If it is down several inches from the neck of the radiator add a piece of gas line hose to raise it up into the radiator neck. This corrected my sprinkling on the windshield...
I am running 5.5x18" rims with firestone tires on my hot rod. They are perfect for this build and really not all that different in diameter compared to the original19" rims that were produced for the car. The wider tire gives a better ride on the roadster. Here is a side by side picture of...
This is my newest member of my car family. It is called Haslers Hot Rod and was built to imitate the cars the kids would build in the late forties and early fifties. The engine sports a high compression head, dual updraft carbs and a V8 stainless steel exhaust with oversized pistons and valves...
The hood of the roadster was made from a stock Model A hood where I cut the loovers out of and framed it in like a picture frame. The trunk was built out of 57 chevy hood and was modified with french cones and 59 cadillac tailights. Basically it was all the junk laying around the garage these...
I couldn't resist putting a coon tail on it. I even have the aviator bomber hats to go with the car. They are quite comfortable and warm when I am out driving in 45 deg f weather. I am looking forward to driving it through the fall colors. The car zips along at 60 mph without any effort at all.
I have the speedster registered as a 1931 Ford roadster-modified. The car is licensed and insured and it runs wonderful. I am very pleased with the performance of this roadster.
Here is my hopped up 4 banger in Haslers Hot Rod. It has dual carbs, insert bearings, high compression head, oversized pistions and valves and a v8 exhaust
I thought you would like to see the finished product regarding Haslers Hot Rod. Just click on my photo album to see the results of this 4 year project.
The rear half were panels I made from scratch for the sides and an old 57 chevy hood to give it that turtle back look along with some ford patch panels to give it that ford look along the bottom of the car. 59 caddy tailights are going into the french cones I installed on the chevy hood.
