Thanks for the replies. As an engineer, I am familiar with cold flow and was suspicious of the Teflon seats doing so. Was surprised that there were no posts when searched regarding alignment issues. As an additional heads up, the first time alignment went out, I also grabbed one wheel and was...
I know this is an old post. I installed the teflon easy steer kit last year and the toe in alignment is not holding. Three times has slowly changed to toe out. Teflon is compressing. All spherical balls are new. Anyone else have this problem? Seriously considering going back to steel cups to...
Question about an aftermarket front neoprene crank seal. The one I am talking about is a drop in for the rope seal. My A engine was rebuilt not too many miles ago with this seal for the previous owner. The engine leaked. I noticed the neoprene seal when replacing the pan gasket and decided to...
As an engineer.... I agree. Doing it is faster and easier than calculating! FYI, make sure you have the tie rod ends tightened enough. Too loose and there will be movement because of the springs in each end. You can change from toe in to toe out by grabbing the wheel and pushing and pulling on...
The rear doors on my 30 Town Sedan are rubbing on the curved bottom, About 1/3 up from the bottom of the door. Both sides. The door alignment of all 4 doors to the door opening, to each other, and to the body lines are good. It appears that all it needs is shims under the hinges to move the door...
Just finishing up wood graining my interior trim. What is the correct type of clear? Gloss? Semi-gloss? Satin? Also, comments on what product is durable for sun, sweat, etc. Thanks!
Question. Are the felt window channels glued in place on a 30 Murray town sedan? I see no evidence of clip holes in the door or clips on my existing worn out channels. Thanks! George
I ordered the split bushings today. Will file/sand the halves to get a good fit. Was thinking Dremel or cut off wheel to split also. Wanted to see what others did to confirm. Appreciate the input. This will complete totally rebuilding the brake system. On to electrical next!

Old post. Old bushings. Old mechanic... Any comments on how to best remove what looks like the original woven bushings without removing the levers for installing a brass split bushing?
I have read some interesting discussion regarding the various A carbs. Could not find anything comparing the Marvel Schebler to the B Zenith. Background. I am looking to increase the power a bit of my current A. Engine is a low mileage overhaul as purchased. Per receipts, counterbalanced crank...
Final post. The pitman arm pinch nut is still pretty close when rotated aft but it clears. Solution was as described in my last post. Biggest benefit was machining the pinch bolt boss as mentioned and using a shortened bolt. Thanks all.
All, certainly appreciate the time many took to pen a helpful response. This why I like this forum. It's finally Friday and will have a little more garage time. Will update as I work for a resolution to the way my car was built. Will post pictures if I can figure it out. An additional note. I...
