    1930-31 subframe, brand new

I purchased this subframe thinking it would work on my Phaeton, WRONG. The Phaeton body mounts under the subframe, so this is useless to me. The vendor stalled around long enough that the Manufacturer would not take it back. I paid over $600.00 for it & would like to see it go to a new home. I...

1063 TBird, My son wants to convert to disc

Yes, it is a 1963 Thunderbird, not Mustang (1964 1/2). This is the car that looks like the Jetsons.

1063 TBird, My son wants to convert to disc

brakes on the front. There must be something out there that will swap in, even if it means changing the spindles. We would appreciate any help.... Don

    Right There!

The most fun I had was sitting out in front of the Nugget Hotel in West Windover, NV during Speedweek & listen to people try to explain what the hell my 180A body was. The most prevelant was "he cut the top off a 2dr sedan" but he did a nice job rolling over the sheetmetal. " He took a 4 dr &...

    Bed liner on Running Boards

I applied bed liner to the underside of the front & rear fenders on Faye. Seems to me it will help prevent star chips on the fenders. The salt from Bonneville stuck to it and had to be scraped/power washed/salt away-ed to get it off.

    Mounting Repro Running Boards

Re: I used Rootlieb running boards on my '31 Phaeton & they fit great ( better than most other parts during assembly)!!

Let it go or make it into another project

I think you need to prioritize what you want. I thought the main reason for selling the car was it is too small for you. If that's the case, no amount of modification is going to change that. As far as E-Bay is concerned, you need to take the emotion out of the equation & look at it as a...

Let it go or make it into another project

Your in the same boat I was. I had a '29 Woody project that I could not keep moving along, lost motivation, but didn't want to take a loss. A friend said "get what you can, cut your losses & move on to something you will enjoy". I sold the car and enough parts to fill a car trailer & the back...

pivoting windshield on Model A roadster

I have the same problem, but was able to tighten the wing nuts enough to solve. A guy told me he put sandpaper between the moving parts & that solved it for him. Before I got mine tight enough the wind blew the windshield through & it hit the steering wheel hard enough to crack it. This design...

Bucket list to Bonneville in my 180A

I didn't want to step on Pete's bucket list, but it reminded me I owed a lot of people thanks for their help in scratching Bonneville off my bucket list. I returned a week ago after the time of my life. It all started 5 years ago when I sold my '32 Roadster because it was too small for me. Then...

    Reproduction Sheetmetal.............?

I used a set of Albrecht rear fenders on my '31 Phaeton and I thought they fit pretty well. I wasn't looking for perfect, but it didn't take much work to mount them. Overall quality looked great.

    Bonneville

Bonneville is on my bucket list & Faye & I are leaving next Wednesday. 1st stop, Austin, NV for a kickoff party with the Alviso Roadsters on Thursday, my 67th birthday, then on to West Wendover on Friday to arrive at The Nugget for the parties. I have been building Faye for the last 4 months...

Sad news about Al Lepore A&L

I was introduced to Al via Pete when I was looking for parts for my 180A. He said Al's parts are the best. I only spoke to him 3 times on the phone, ordering perfect reproduction door hinges, cowl patch panels (that fit like a glove) and just last week, the parts needed to install my windshield...

    Time wasters

that happened to a friend of mine. He sold his '57 Bel Air 2 Dr hardtop on Thursday @ Hot August Nites & Friday, it was in the auction with the reserve $7K higher than he sold it for!!!

    Tiss A Shame.. another one

I'm one of those "hotrod" guys who has been visiting the "barn" every day for the last 3-4 years. I had a plastic '32 roadster that didn't fit me too well so I sold it. Along came a 180A on _bay in New York & it looked just like a roadster, only longer. I could move the seat back and make it...
