Rev! I had the exact same problem. The new gas tank I installed, old cap would not work. So I took the old cap and bent ‘up’ the tabs/ears till it worked.

I made a post last October about rear spare tire mounting. Attached is a picture of my outer rear, which I believe are the lower two bolts for the mount. The other picture is my inner body. Is there another part I need? I see no bolt hole for the upper bolt to go into.

Hmm. I haven’t seen the internal brace for sale anywhere, perhaps I’m not using the right search term.

Makes sense, but I don’t have that third hole. I guess I would have to get the internal brace and drill the hole.

Hello all. Recently got a 29 Phaeton. It has a side mount spare; I’d like to have a spare in the back also. I see spare tire mount brackets for sale, but they have three bolts (unless I’m viewing something wrong), and the rear of my phaeton only seems to have two bolts in that area. What am I...

How did you solve your problem? I have the brace, but after reading the comments, I’m thinking about cleaning off the generator mounting points and trying again. As of now, just the one bolt is not working to keep my belt tight.
