I have the HF one at home, and one from the Snap-On truck at work. They work equally well. The HF one actually has a finer laser dot.

Nice. I just finished welding up 6 extra holes, plus filling an old heater hole that looked like it was made with a chisel.

Sounds way too tight, my new build turns over at 30 ft lbs, and turns steadily a bit lower than that. Better tear into it and see what's up. Did the crank spin freely without rods attached?

There is still ethanol free available here, it's all I use for small engines and classics. I use 1 oz per gallon of Seafoam, and keep tanks full and carbs dry. A small amount of fuel in a tank full of air will go bad a lot faster than a full tank with no room for air to "breath" in through the...

I bought the one in the photo and returned it right away. Quality was poor, and it could have shorted on the posts. Now I have the oval shaped one from Brattons, and it looks good and fits. No spacer required.

I think they're all made by Snyder's. Mine had too much forward offset, I shortened the shaft to get the pulley back where it belongs to make the belt straight.

Just turned 50.

One of the rebuilders uses custom pistons sized right on the target bore diameter. The .003" clearance is then machined into the block making ring gap too wide. I bought some rings by spec, fitted them to my bores, and returned his rings.

The Piquette is well worth the trip downtown! I stopped there a couple weeks ago, and was surprised to see about 60 cars on display. There's even a GT40 there, just a little out of place.

My local Napa was cheapest but I would have to buy a case of them. I went with Rock Auto.

Had to drill and tap mine. The dimples on the casting perfectly located the holes for the puller.

I wouldn't pull on the front axle, maybe a sling around the differential housing and out the front, not backwards. Front axles bend really easy fore and aft.
