Trying to find a nice driver quality rumble lid handle / license plate light assembly for my 39 Convertible Coupe.

Saw this done recently, car was cleaned /scrubbed with fast orange, results were incredible. Went from virtually no visible paint back to a presentable blue car.

Hello, I am looking for the correct rear spring count and rate, for a 39 Convertible coupe.

I did it way back in '05. Was a relatively simple process then. A friend who shipped his car out with mine kept it in CA and titled it, only brought it home late last year, told me he couldn't keep it out there any longer as it was no longer possible to insure it without a US drivers licence.

Anyone else think the first car in the movie is on radials? Good film though, we enjoyed it. Some of the in motion cinematography of the black Fordoor was excellent!

Thanks, Starting to make sense now. When mine has been removed its been converted to a small lever behind the seat which operates a cable. So should be easily put back subject to me finding the handle parts.

So is it the same assembly as a coupe? My rumble lid is opened by way of lever behind the seat.

On my newly acquired 39 Deluxe Cabriolet, it has in the past had a 32 spare wheel carrier fitted to the rear bumper irons, the "handle" which is normally found on the rear has been removed. Is this handle assembly the same as a coupe or unique to a cabriolet? I'd like to put my spare wheel back...
