    Mistery wishbone

I agree on the modifications to the wishbone but that front axle and spindle looks like ‘40-‘41 Willys to me. It’s the shape of the spindle flange and the axle, the upper axle here^ is the ‘40, lower is the earlier ‘33 and up axle. Also, Willys in that era had four lug hubs.

1941 spindles, kingpins, and steering arms

Keep your Ford spindles and save headaches with the bolt on steering arms. Stick with the regular bushings, the needle bearing king pin sets are not needed for any application. And as others have said get the bushing fitted to a hand press fit on a Sunnen hone.

    Is this for real?

Lorin Sorensen’s Ford Life Magazine had a brief feature on the plexiglass top on page 29 of the Jul/Aug 1972 issue.

    34 Front axle direction

It is the same either way, the holes for the king pin retainers are drilled 9/16”. If a retainer does not fit from one side it’s nothing more than a burr from the lock washer that can be cleaned up with a fine file.

    Update on Ol' Ron

Thank you Ruth, I wish everyone could have a daughter-in-law like you. God bless you and may He give Ron peace in his final days.

    32 replacement grill bars?

I’ve looked all over and the only listing I can find online for C W Moss is for the stainless bars at $4.95 that are shown as not in stock. Given that the price is $4.95/ea. and you say the stainless bars are $5.95 am I looking at an old catalog listing on their website? I have not seen their...

    32 replacement grill bars?

If you decide to go to a sheet metal shop the bars are 23 ga, have a depth of approximately 1/4” and the gap between sides is .048. And BTW, C W Moss shows the bars as out of stock.

1932 oval inside mirror and window arms

Window handles appear to be chrome, originally those were nickel plated, earlier repro’s were nickel, later ones now only come chrome. Compare yours to something chromed, nickel has a different look to it.

    More 32 identification help please

‘32 bumpers have a slight radius between the bolt holes, hard to tell from the photos but if yours are flat they are reproductions. I agree with Karl’s assessment above, if you can provide a good measurement from center to center of the rivets on the linkage bar we may be able to positively ID...

Yes, times they are a changing

If I place my maximum bid on eBay my bid only shows as the next increment in the bidding progression. If someone bids using that “last second” software and takes the prize one dollar over my set maximum I would not feel bad, my established value for the item was exceeded. Last second bidding...

    1938 Door jamb bumper mystery

The bumper mentioned, p/n B-191442-A and -B is specified in the 1938 Hardware and Trimming Supplies catalog as being used on the 1935 Model 48 and 1936 Model 68 Convertible Sedans. With no mention of the 1937 Model 78 or the 1938 Model 81A how is one to know for certain it is the correct item...

    1938 Door jamb bumper mystery

Sorry, just saw this now, it’s from Ecklers. Just enter that p/n in a Google search and it will come up.

    1938 Door jamb bumper mystery

That holder for the bumper appears to be the same as this one for some Model A’s, I wonder if the A bumper would work?

What is this goop? Restored 1932 Victoria

Huh??? Looks like someone thought they were protecting the carpet and a set of rare, very few produced, mat and escutcheon sets that were ever made. No doubt his intentions were good and there was no way anyone could have expected those rare parts to literally melt. And I wonder how you draw a...

    just a heads-up

Well I watched the video and I’d say Matt and crew get kudos for saving another old Ford, and it was a tub too! Oops, I meant to say it’s a Convertible Sedan. I don’t agree about the “reality TV” mentality some here described, they are just a group of guys searching out and rescuing old cars and...
