The 31 I purchased already came with the frame boxing kit, mounts, and water pumps needed to fit the engine to the frame. It also comes with the radiator and a set of inside the frame rail headers.
Thank you! I will look that up before asking further questions. I really wasn't sure if this was more of a purist page or not. I didn't want to offend.
Long time lurker here. I recently bought a 31 Sedan. It is my intent to do an Early style V8 conversion with a 53 flathead. I want everything to be somewhat period correct. I know as in every group there are purists that won't like the thought and talk me out of it. Some might be ok with it...
So I just picked up a 31 Ford Sedan that I am trying to do the V8 conversion on. The engine and trans came out of a 53 Ford. The transmission is a column shifted 3 speed. There doesn't look like there is anywhere to mount a shifter to the side of the trans since it is so short. I'm sure that...

Well, it is hard to leave this one sit outside... I need more space. This picture was taken at a photo shoot for an invitational calendar for a charity. I'm a Ford guy through and through. I did the full rebuild of this car from the ground up.
I still have not picked up a regulator for it yet. BUT... Since I couldn't help myself I took it to the cruise in on Friday night to "relax for a bit". Only 2.5 miles from my house. I guess it is a bad thing that I am loving this car. It has taken the garage space from my 64 Fairlane. Now what...
So last night I started the car and increased the idle to about 1200 RPM. When I momentarily disconnected the battery terminal the engine died. I reconnected and tried again but this time I jumpered the F and BAT terminal. This would put the generator into "runaway". When I disconnected the...
