    40'Radiator

"U.S.Radiator" update.! I need to clear the air about "U.S.Radiator" I did hear back from them, both in the form of an E-mail and a phone call from Phil, (the production manager) I sent them an E-mail with pic's and a description of my problem and asked for their assistance. He was confused...

drolston: You are correct, as I had referred to in my earlier post. The generator is mounted in its lowest position possible with the shortest belt that I can run. No more room for adjustment. No pic's for now, because I presently have all of these components removed. Good pics would tell the...

Additional info. The measurement for the inlet at the water pumps is on 13" centers. Is this the dimension that they use to determine the location of the lower OUTL on the Radiator.? Don't know.? It looks like "Walker/Johnson" Radiator also uses this dimension.? It might be a good idea...

Kube: I also had the experience of installing that very same Gas Tank, so I know Who we are talking about.! I tried to suggest some changes, but He didn't want to talk about them.? Steve.

Jumbogem29 "U.S.Radiator" part # is 050016. That's the number that I have, but I would check with them before I would place an order. (Note) They will build the "Radiator" to your spec's, but I did not specify any changes, because it is supposed to fit my application.?

Kube: Couldn't agree with you more. I am awaiting word from "U.S.Radiator" to see what they offer or suggest.?

19Fordy: That would be enough, but, same as above I don't have the room to raise or lower the Radiator. I want to wait to hear from "U.S.Radiator" before I start modifying anything. Steve.

drolston: Appreciate your suggestion but refer to my original post and see that I don't have the luxury of rising my Engine. This probably would work if I could.! Steve.

Kube: Let's try this again with pic's. Hope that this shows the interference on the lower left OUTL. I am OK with the fit of the hoses on the Engine and the Radiator. Appreciate your input as I know that you wrote the Book on 40' Fords.!

    40'Radiator

Kube, Here you are. (Note that "U.S. Radiator" OUTL. are on 13" centers.) With a "drop -in, bolt up" Replacement? With the stock/original OUTL on 16" centers not sure why they chose the 13" centers. I am in the process of trying to find out.? Looking for a fix without having to relocate the...

The long blade is hitting on the top of the hose at the inlet at the clamp. The hoses are correct original replacement and fit very good. Thanks Ken for your reply, Steve.

    40'Radiator

I have a 40' Ford with a New replacement Radiator from "U.S. Radiator" made specifically for a 40 Ford with a Flathead. It "is a drop -in, bolt up unit" with (2) INL on 10" centers and (2) outl on 13" centers. (stock/original are on 16" centers). With the correct original crank mounted (6)...

    oil filter installation

I have the same oil pan as pictured with the separate "boss" On the inside is what looks like a solid plate (part of the mount.?) it has a very small hole in the bottom (hard to see) Is this designed to be a restrictor? What about the restrictor in the brass "T' fitting going onto the filter...

    Ultra "SAD" news here locally

Ford Smoke Stacks Taken recently in K.C. MO. The Old Ford Plant. The "Kansas City Automotive Museum" expressed an interest in these and was told by the present owner that "You can have them if you can find someone to take them down" Someone needs to save these.!!

    Crank Mounted Fan

Anyone seen one of these. The 3 (three) blade fan was on my '40 when I got it and it worked. "Kube" says that Ford never made them or installed them.! I believe him. (He wrote the Book on "The Forty Ford") I also have the Chrome 6 (six) blade fan which is on the car now, which I understand is...
