Thanks for both tips. I took Tom's advice and called Bert's - they had a nice resilvered original and its on its way.

I took out the headlamp reflectors and was able to polish one nicely. The other seems to be made of plastic or junk fiberglass, and the coating will come off with just finger pressure. Real trash With all the discussion about repop junk, I see I must have "inherited" some of that when purchased...
