Petehoovie, thanks for the enlarged pictures.
TJ, I wasn’t sure if the whole inner assembly had to be replaced as an assembly or if only the broken outer ring was available and then revited back on to the inner assembly.
Finally was able to get the horn ring off, but part of the assembly is damaged. Wondering if the broken ring can be replaced or do I have to get a whole new assembly.
Also it looks like the nut on the steering shaft is wrong , what is the would be the correct nut to use.
Thanks Deuce and 47 ,
that gives a good picture of what needs to be done to get it off.
I think I have one side off and the melted felt is holding the other side from allowing the ring to be fully lifted out.

Looking at diamondbacks auburns. Will be going with big and little look.

I am thinking 5.50R-16 or 6.00R-16 on the front and 6.50R-16 or 7.00R-16 on the rear.
Pictures if you have , pro’s or con’s...
I would be concerned about the bumper hitch that it would put a lot of strain on it. Those trailers are light even loaded and bounce a lot behind our cars. I watched a friends mullins bounce off the road many times , with the roads we drive on , he had a hitch attached to his frame. I guess it...
There is one other option instead of the hogs head & that is the one year only 1951 mercury bell that has the stock cross shaft & throw out fork. You need the same year starter plate. A simple flat adaptor plate is made to attach the bell & T5 together
