Are these drums still available, I have a '39 Standard Coupe and it is time to start looking for front and rear replacements.

Today is drive your drive your Ford V-8 day. I am here in St. Paul, MN ready to drive, but waiting on the rain to clear. This will be my first time participating in the drive as my car was still in the shop last year. Have fun, be safe and burn a little gas.

Here is my 39, picture taken last year on the North Shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota. Just before I put her away for winter. I have had it out twice this spring.

Still melting snow in Minnsota, itching just the same for my first ride of the season which will also be my first ride in my barn find '39. Can't wait doesn't say enough!

Haggerty has a nice article on oil compatibility for classic autos. You may also want to check locally about the availability of Classic Car Motor Oil or Schaeffer Oil which both have zinc incorporated in their formulation. The link to Haggerty article...

I understand that "modern" oils have reduced or eliminated zinc additives which is a lubricant. I have read recommendations for additives or modern formulations to correct for this deficiency. Haggerty posted an interesting review on oil that can be found at this link...

I am a newbie here, but just thought I would mention that early Fords had a tag on the firewall listing various patents associated with the vehicle but from what I recall the original tags did not include any specific body or frame numbers. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi everyone, I am working a "barn find" 39 Standard Coupe (exterior) that came with a Deluxe interior. My glove box "button" is missing something from the center. I assume that it would be for a lock cylinder. If so, can I find a replacement lock cylinder and can be keyed for the car? Attached...
