    Advice on replacing floor

Probably spot welded. You can plug weld to mimic the spot welding the factory did. No one will ever know the difference. First step is to get access to a garage, compressor, welding equipment, and some basic sheet metal equipment like a brake and bead roller.

    Say it isn't so !

The Motor Trend Chanel is a disaster. Pretty much gutted all that was watchable on the old Velocity channel when MT took over. They spend what seems to be most of the hour advertising their subscription service, which I will never pay money for. Most of the programming on the MT channel is...

    Falcon

Sheet metal parts for the 64-65 Falcons are gradually coming on the market, but quality rear quarters aren’t here yet...Dyanacorn makes front fenders, hoods, doors, core supports, full floor pans, and trunk pans, plus the front apron assemblies. I called them a couple of years ago to confirm...

Ditch the electric fans and find a mechanical fan from a big block Ford truck engine. Electric fans are fine for an econobox, but the small electric motors they employ aren’t adequate to deliver the power required tp push enough air to cool a big block engine. Take a look at the fans in a...

    T5 behind a 6 cylinder?

I’d be more concerned with the braking system if you plan on driving 80 mph on the freeway on a regular basis. Like a previous poster said, if you aren’t comfortable driving 60 on the expressway because people will be passing you, use the secondary roads these cars were designed for. The T5...

    Kidde Fire Extinguisher

My wife called the 1-800 number and got through on the second try. We now will have 10 replacement fire extinguishers arriving in 10 days to two weeks, as well as instructions on what to do with the recalled units. They didn’t take the marine units for some reason.

    Ancient History

I remember my dad heating water in a teakettle and pouring the hot water on the cylinder head of the family’s 53 Customline four door with a a flathead. That would have probably been in about 55 or 56, when I was four or five years old.

    36 pickup windshield seal

I bought glass and a reproduction frame from Mac's a few years ago. The glass didn't fit the frame. My local national chain windshield installer agreed to cut a new windshield and install it in the frame as a side job, I think, at a lower price than I paid for the mail order glass alone. I...

    1936 Ford Pickup

I ended up buying a reproduction frame after years of fruitless searches for a decent used frame. I got it from Mac's, before the takeover. I also bought a glass kit from there, but it didn't fit the windshield frame, so the local franchise glass guy cut a piece of flat laminated glass to fit...

    1936 truck door drawings

btt I also would like some info re assembling the window regulator for a 36 truck. I can't seem to get my windows to go forward to sit in the front channel. I seem to remember that the window should move backwards slightly (1 or 2") before it starts to retract. Is that correct? My doors...

It's Done - 37 Ford Pickup Stake Bed

My grandpa had one like that on his farm in Upper Michigan. Used it around the farm until the early 50's when the rear end locked up. It was dragged to the haybarn where it sat for many years. As a little kid i dreamed of getting that truck. Sadly, lightning struck the haybarn in the late...
