Very helpful thread here. We are newbies with 200 miles on a new motor. We were re-torquing (60 lbs?) the high compression head after a several miles so the engine was hot. Once we read this thread & re-torqued at increments of 10 lbs each when motor was warm the head bolts went from 35 lbs :(...
I believe Mark Maron recommends the Vintage Precision tstat and temp gauge. It's a little pricey and I have not decided yet. Not real excited about the temp gauge in the rad hose.

Logolites is excellent for a driver & easy install. Led turn signals & brake lights with magnet dash mount controller unit. Controller is well thought out with lighted push buttons for left & right with auto shutoff & also has signal chirp to remind you to turn off sooner if you wish. We also...
Thanks PalAl; great article. We had problems with our first 29 switch. The Vintique one had a short plunger. We ordered a second one from another vendor and it had a longer plunger, now all good. I will say there is a very small clearance between the contacts and the mounting screws for...
Update from OP. Finally got that darn top hinge pin out. Tried all the recommendations (thx) except spending $ on that tool. Tried drilling up through the pin but no luck. Eventually taped off the hinge, cut the top of the pin and punched the pin thru from the top.
Just did this for a 29 Tudor. We found that an 8" long adapter gave use a little more room to drill the holes. It looks like the column support bracket is on national back order. We got ours from Steve at Berts Model A in Denver. Good luck!
Getting ready to install a side rear view mirror in the top door hinge of a 29 Tudor. Any tips-tricks for install besides a big hammer and lots of heat?
Weird, so ours is a Nov 29 Tudor. We have brackets mounted to the wood seat frame but no slots. Needless to say, lots of head scratching to figure it out but this site saved our bacon. Thx!
Thanks Brent, we had a local shop in Marietta, GA weld up the cracks-rivets and no more leaks around the shutoff valve! Really do appreciate all your posts on various issues, sure wish you guys were closer to ATL!
