I am installing a patch panel on the lower portion behind the doors. My question is how do I handle the area around the wooden door posts? I don't want to take them out to weld the patch panel. Can I just not weld where it wraps around the wood and maybe just fill the seam with lead? Thanks...

I have a complete 31 coupe, model A chassis. Vehicle was running and drivable although the motor had a knock. Also included are the radiator, grille, hood, seat, seat riser, rumble seat, 2 front and 2 rear fenders, front and rear bumpers, spare tire mount and 5th wheel. I have pics

I'll support the body from below just an inch or two above where the subrails go. Then I'll assemble the rails and 2 crossmembers and support it. I'll then bolt the body on and then weld the subrails to the front subrails.

I'm not planing on using rivets. I don't have a way of working with them. I was planning on using bolts.
