Yep, factory '54 box. I tore it apart and only replaced the oil seal. The needle bearings seemed fine. Filled it with John Deere cornhead grease and called it a day.

I'm also running a 5.0 in my '54. I'm using a stock '93 Mustang radiator with a 3000 cfm puller fan. No A/C but I can sit in traffic all day, in 100* heat and it stays at 195*. In my experience, pusher fans don't work well. You need a puller fan. However, in order to do that, I had to...
