I have the helmet style distributor I purchased new inner terminals and rotor the recommended clearance per sheet sent in the box should be 3 to 5 thousands. When installed I have 8 to 10 thousand clearance between inner terminals and rotor would this be a problem. Thanks

I was thinking of the same thing with a dial indicator. Not sure what you mean when you say gasket goop to hold them in place. Would you be referring to applying sealer to the shims. I was planning on driving the A out your way seems like the summer went fast.
