Can 3.1875 be used in 85 hp engine by removing sleeves and boring to correct size? Ed Nix the cam grinder.

Hello I'm 77 yrs old !worked and drove lots of 59a and8ba engines in the day never much on the 85 hp. engines my question is can the sleaves be removed and bore the block to 3.1875 and use the std pistons from 59ab motor? Any one ever done this and the results. Thanks Ed Nix the cam grinder.
