Weird how 'mericans need super heavy trucks to tow a car. We get by with a tandem (or single axle, but i don't like them as much) trailer and a little old hilux. A decent odyssey should tow one.

Bonded is normally bad, although i had bonded stuff that was like cardboard. It had heaps of grip & made for amazing brakes. Last 10 months and it was worn out. I then went to the truck shop & asked for woven lining. TL:DR Truck shop woven lining comes at a price but is.. worth it?

If you cannot get good replacements any time soon. see if you can get replacement seals. And if the bleed was not quite at the top, would it be possible to fill the offending air gap with epoxy?

Perfection. It's a very precise machine, but not required to be as precise in most circumstance. Taught myself to drive one of those when i was 12. Didn't have access to the car. Just a book describing it. 2 things i didn't get 100% perfect when i did access the car was pushing the clutch...

As for stripped plugs, should the housing be stripped, dip the plugs in wax, and re-install them in a slightly cleaned housing with an epoxy akin to 'jb weld'. Refill shocks as necessary. I have never re-built one, so cannot offer much advice on that task.

All ignition coils spike up to near 80+ volts on the primary side so it's likely they would work fine.

Yuck, use no corrosives or you might as well have used a line you found in a wreck in a forest. I use linseed oil, leave item in the sun, or bake lightly after applying. You're not trying to cook it. Just dry it. I left a set of new keys dipped in linseed oil on top of the toaster for a few...
