    The Untouchables Series

Robert Stack owned a 1931 Roadster with a Model B engine, Cragar head and Winfield carbs that went 115+ miles per hour at Muroc in 1938. I guess if the police tried to chase him he would have been an Untouchable......

    intake boring

I made up a fixture to hold the manifold at the proper angle to bore it. I use a carbide bit on a 8" shaft to round the corners at the top of the manifold. Someone did back to back dyno tests on a stock and bored manifold using both a Model A Carb and a Model B Carb and there was improvement...

    6volt battery charging

Well....If you want the best battery you'll have to change to a 12v system and put in a Antigravity Battery. They are Lithium and they last forever. NOT CHEAP though. Built in Jump start if the battery goes dead. And they weigh 70 percent less than a lead acid battery. Their making noises about...

    Roadster seat Cushions

I have 1929 Which doesn't give you much room. I took out the back seat cushion and had a thinner foam one made up using the original material. Then I slid the bottom seat cushion back on the riser back to where it met the original seat back. It lowered the seat quite a bit. Pull the rear cushion...

    Head gasket leak assistance.

I've had good luck re-using the copper gasket like you have. I have taken red scotch brite and some acetone and cleaned the gasket. Then spray it with copper coat. Don't forget to retorque the head after running the motor a few time until the bolts stop moving'

    Model T touring questions.

Neat looking car. It probably is a 1917 from what we've seen so far. The engine probably was replaced sometime in the last 100yrs. It would be fun to get it running and drive it like it is...

    Worn Piston Rings

The best mechanic in a can for your situation is: Restore brand Engine Restorer. It's in a silver can and does work miracles before you rebuild the engine. It's worth a try.

    Float-A-Motor vs original.

I bought a car with Float-A-Motor mounts in it. The rubber was cracked and I figured if they cracked once they're going to crack again. I made new replacements out of delron and have had no problems for the past 20 yrs. And growing up we had a kid in the neighborhood with the last name of...
