Just installed an new tail light. All OK, then a day later the brake light stopped working. Checked the switch, looked good, wires on OK, shorted across - still NG. What a dummy I checked voltage there and finally came too, had power. I then checked the light socket - got power. THE NEW BULB...

Checked spark, timing, fuel. At that time (moment) all seemed A OK no problems. FINALY discovered one wire on the coil oxidized, on - off and at times contacting / not contacting the coil threaded terminal. Erratic contact. Someone did’t put the nut on, hah ! Educational experience. All OK now.

Can a spring steel bumper bracket be bent? My new left side bracket is bent down/in, where it fastens onto the bumper. Can it be slightly bent to straight it out, without braking the tempered steel ?
